The Nameless Cowboy 2004 Camp Song

Tune: "She'll be coming around the mountain"

Yippy kai yai yippy yippy yay Yippy kai yai yippy yippy yay Yippy kai yai yippy yippy Kai yai yippy yippy Kai yai yippy yippy yay

Let me tell ya 'bout a cowboy from the west (yee haw) Let me tell ya 'bout a cowboy from the west (yee haw) Let me tell ya 'bout a cowboy Let me tell ya 'bout a cowboy Let me tell ya 'bout a cowboy from the west (yee haw)

He was ridin' t'Oklahoma on his horse (OK)

But the horse he had it didn't have a name (Call 'em Ed)

'Bout that time he met the woman of his dreams (No Way)

Jump in' Izzy Loppin-hoffer was her name (Call 'er Jill)

Cowboy went and bought a diamond for his gal (What the hey)

They got married and they had a baby boy (Call 'em Bob)

And now the cowboy's story is complete (But what's his name?)

Verses follow the same pattern as chorus and first verse. After each verse, add on all callbacks in reverse order, i.e. "But what's his name?, Call 'em Bob, What the hey, etc... " Also, each "Yee Haw" and 'dramatic pause' before the chorus gets progressively longer. Dramatic pauses are crucial. ©2004 Green Briar Boys
