STEAMBOAT BILL
1993 Camp Song

Chorus Steamboat Bill, CHUGGIN' down the Mississippi, Steamboat Bill, mighty man was he, Oh! Steamboat Bill, CHUGGIN' down the Mississippi, Out to break the record of the Robert E. Lee.

Up the Mississippi came the Whipporwhill Commanded by the pilot Mr. Steamboat Bill, The owner gave the order on the strict Q.T. That we're out to break the record of the Robert E. Lee.

Up stepped a gambler at Louisville, Tried to place a bet against the Whipporwhill. Said Billy to that gambler, "Now that just ain't fair." Then the boiler blew up, and they flew into the air.

Said Billy to that gambler as they left the deck, "I don't know where we're goin', but we're neck 'n neck." Said the gambler to Billy, "Well, I'll tell you what I'll do," "I'll bet another thousand I'll go higher than you!"

Now Billy and that gambler were not to be found. Some even say they never hit the ground. Well, the boat was gone, and there was nothin' left to see, But they still broke the record of the Robert E. Lee.

last verse by Seth Stark and Jon Whitney Ooh La La, Oogie Oogie Oogie Oogie, Ooh La Cha! Zippy Ippy Poo! Oh! Ooh La La, Oogie Oogie Oogie Oogie, Zippity Split, Ickity Pop, Ba Ba Ba Ba Loo!
